This is me during my heat on Sky Landscape Artist of the Year, Viking Bay (Kent). Naturally introverted I have to push myself to show my work and take risks. I love seeing reactions to my work, and take great pride when a painting finds a new happy home. I live in Hampshire UK, and have a professional studio at the Arches Southampton. STEWART BECKETT (b 1973, Hampshire)
Fine Artist
Stewart completed his art foundation at Portsmouth Art College (1993), then went on to do HND Illustration at Solent University (1995). After a long break from his art, since 2014 he has exhibited extensively, including several appearances painting on SKY TV, with portraits of celebrities such as Gregg Davies (2014) and Ncuti Gatwa (2020). He also participated in the SKY TV ‘Landscape Artist of the Year’ getting to the last three in his heat in 2016 and painting the beach at Viking Bay in 2018. For the last 3 years his work has been exhibited at the prestigious Mall Galleries in London, as part of the ‘Royal Institute of Oil Painters’ and ‘Royal Portrait Society’ annual exhibitions.
